Following on from my favourite European project of the moment comes my favourite international project! Vietnamese architects Vo Trong Nghia have created this six storey family home that can be entirely open to the elements.
Entering on the ground floor to a parking area and garden, you then proceed up a concrete, spiral staircase into the main body of the home. Perforated concrete blocks create privacy, shading and natural ventilation, whilst additional security on the fourth and sixth levels is created using sliding glass screens.
A great project for a tropical climate!
I’m so amazed by how that concrete checkered ceiling is holding up, everything in this is just so beautiful.
